On 22 and 23 August 2010 the Better Homes and Gardens Film team explored Barkala inside out. They spent one and a half days filming and sharing life on Barkala. The result is inspiring for all who would like to ‘go-bush’ for a day-trip or a holiday. Johanna Griggs will show you life on the great farm as it is today: The potters Johannes and Julie show off their work in the famous Pilliga Pottery, Bernhard will make you fresh Pizzas, Maria shows the guests around and Johannes forges steel as a blacksmith.

Johanna and the friendly folks of Barkala showed horse riding and you the artistic and peaceful accommodations. The Better Homes and Gardens team came to rest in the Barkala Cafe for a quick Cappuccino and the lavish meal cooked by Regina the wonder girl from Bavaria!
